Thelma Austin is founder and president of Praise Press/Precise Communications, a company that publishes autobiographies of everyday people and books of sermons for clergy to ensure that their legacies and messages will last forever.
Thelma earned her B.S. in Math/Economics from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and MBA in Marketing from Columbia University Graduate School of Business in New York City. She spent her corporate career at Fortune-500 corporations in New York—in brand management and advertising at Lever Brothers, Chesebrough-Pond’s, Benton & Bowles Agency, and Clairol/Bristol-Myers. She is a founder of the National Black MBA Association Inc. and served on its original national board of directors.
